Here are a couple of components of a 1891 Union Cycle #12, AKA "solid tire safety bicycle."  Q3/28 converted to B&W and lightly tampered with in LightRoom.

Thanks for the reply. Can you say if you noticed much difference in image quality between the SL2S and the Q3? I know the SL2S is 24 MP and our Q3s are 60 MP - but on a daily usage basis, I wonder if it's noticeable for you?

I haven’t consciously tried to take similar photos with each yet but I will say that I image quality with the sl2s was never an issue for me, more so auto focus lock on moving subjects. But then again what Leica is actually good at that?

I am quite happy with both and I’ll probably keep both. Q3 for when I’m on the move and sl2s for when I want a zoom.

Thanks for your reply. I'm considering getting an SL2S as a compliment to my Q3 28 - which is why I've been asking these questions. Your feedback has been helpful.

A little backdoor magic.  I love to explore the alleyways in small towns. I also love the mid-tones in these files.  Q3 processed in Capture One.

I recently added an SL2-S, to be honest, I am quite impressed with the image quality compared to my Q3 and M11-P. I thought the lack of MP's would leave me wanting but it is quite the opposite. The SL2-S creates beautiful images. Obviously if you are wanting to crop extensively then there is a difference but even then, I have found the files to have a lot of detail and as others have said, the SL2-S is great with high ISO. I am mainly using my M lenses on it with a dummy adapter while I wait for the official Leica adapter which was part of a package from B&H. The Q3 is an awesome camera in its own right obviously, but if you are wondering about adding an SL2-S, I am guessing you would like it.

Thanks Bruce for your reply. Your response helps a lot. I was debating on getting a Q3 43 to go with my Q3 but I feel like there won't be enough differentiation between the two. Thus I'm considering an SL2 or SL2S where I can add lenses especially on the telephoto end to give me more versatility for my photography.
