Quite so. It must be because most of the images I saw as a child were nearly all b&w, and I find it hard to understand why anyone would always prefer b&w. That said, there are rare occasions when I use b&w to prevent a colour from obscuring the point of the photo. See my photos 2625 and 2626 on the previous page. In the first, the coloured Billa sign would attract too much attention, and in the second the colour of the trees is crucial for my point.

A little attempt of "proxy" with the Q3 (macro mode, then big "crop" in the picture). Certainly it's not worth a photo with a real macro lens, but results are not too bad in my opinion.
