I like my Q3 more with every passing day. Maybe I am the kind of customer who takes the tools as they come, as I liked my X1 and my X-Vario with all their flaws also a lot, but the feeling I get with every "click" on the shutter button tops any experience I had with all my other cameras. I carry it with me wherever I go and try to take at least one picture every day. The (hopefully not so bad) downside is, that I feel the urge to show you my work on a regular basis :)

I’m still cropping my images to around 40-50mm.

you can also look at it  this way: you essentially have a 40/50mm shift lens with a fast aperture and plenty of resolution to crop. I too like to crop to 40 and like the versatility of the 28mm lens to straighten out the horizon or correct falling lines "in camera" before I crop to the desired aspect ratio in post. A neat little trick in case you're using Lightroom is to hit Resize shurtcut (R for me), then press the shortcut to flip the resize window 90° (X for me) and then hit that same shurtcut again. What the camera does is crop to approx 6300 x 4200, which is the approximate equivalent of a 40mm field of view out of the Q.

As a previous owner of the Q, I waited with anticipation for the arrival of my Q3.  My first post with my new camera at Spearfish Canyon, SD.   1/60 sec @ f/5.6 ISO 100, handheld. Edited by Leica Girl

Storm over Lake Iliamna. Better contrast in this one

This one is beautiful ! I’d even make is a 16/9 and crop the sky at the top to keep only the dramatic clouds and the lake.

well done!
