Yes, and yes.

I also sold the 35, 60 and 11-23 TL lenses. The Q2 can't replace either the short or the long end, but all photography involves compromises. Objectively, one gains IS, macro, weather proofing, an almost silent leaf shutter, and a smaller package than the CL and several lenses. Subjectively I gained better IQ and low light performance (though not up to the standard of the SL2-S). AF is roughly the same - not nearly as good as such a later camera than the CL should deliver. APSC vs FF is not important for me.

I enjoy the direct manual controls for aperture and shutter speed, but after the CL I still forget they're there. Switching to A or S mode and AF using the analogue dials rather than a 'mode' dial is obvious and simple

Whether it is worth it depends on what is important for you, though.

Edit. It is heresy to say so, but I enjoy choosing my crop  and composition in post processing rather than with a zoom at the time of shooting.

I've gone to a Q2 from a CL also and totally agree with LocalHero 1953.  However I do use the crop zoom feature to get precropped JPG images and also uncropped DNG by shooting both.  I also set my review to display the just taken cropped image until I release the shutter button.  This allows me to immediately reframe and take another shot if needed.  The 47mp resolution of the Q2 sensor combined with the excellent sharpness of the lens makes the need for long range lenses a minor issue for me, since I do mostly street photography.  For the rare case of needing a zoom by backup Lumix LX100ii micro 4/3 with its PanLeica lens usually fills my zoom needs.

I'd stick to the Cl (it is a really fantastic camera and more flexible and buy a second hand Q1. Only if you really really need the extra megapixels: buy a Q2
