M7 35/2 Cron ASPH

Just a snap but colour neg film scanned as slide film using Vuescan.

First time i've tried it this way, seems to give better results.

Just wondered what everybodys prefs were when scanning colour negs.

I think the discussion of good or bad colors needs to be in the context of what the photographer was trying to achieve. If blue pavement was the goal, then this is a successful scan, but it color accuracy was the objective then it's a bit off.

 

Dave--I wish I could answer your question about prefs, but I've just started using Vuescan myself.

You said that much better then I could have. With my original comment I was assuming the photographer wanted color accuracy since he said " Just a snap" But yes from a artistic point the colors are quit good.

Dave, as far as Vuescan goes I am still muddling around and trying to find the perfect settings.

I admit the pavement does have a blue look to it but it had been raining. If you look just beyond the man there is a dry patch which looks about right.

My original scan of the colour neg was dreadful hence the reason scanning this as a transparency. It does not always work but in this case I preffered this version.
