Hi everyone,

one year ago I bought my silver M6 ('97) and I really love it, I consider it a real icon of photography and design. I bought it before rumors about the brand new M6 and I payed it 2.2k euros. Do you think it can have a future revaluation?

Thank you

In the mid 1990's you could buy a decent M4-2 for $500 usd. Now the average is about $1600. Part of it is inflation, part of it is buyers wanting something with the Leica name. M6's have held their value because of the built in meter. You paid about the right price for yours, enjoy it and use it. The current run up in prices is starting to settle and the influencers are moving on to the next trend.

If you bought from a dealer with warranty, your price would now be on the cheap side. Even without warranty you would have trouble finding one at that price in working condition.
