Charzmh Posted April 8, 2023 Share #1 Â Posted April 8, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am interested in getting a close up adaptor for my 50mm summar on my M2. I know there is a close up adaptor called the Sooky. Does anyone know if it would work? Does it only work with the 50mm summicron and the Elmar? Pintpot Posted April 9, 2023 Share #2  Posted April 9, 2023 Here's some information. Leica Sooky-M Close Range Accessory (Somky) – RRJphotography (wordpress.com) Seems a bit fiddley to me, a Visoflex will get you closer, plenty for sale on eBay.

If this is not just a typo and you really mean the Summar, you'll need the NOOKY-HESUM. Though this close focus device was made for LTM-cameras and I fear the "goggles" which you need for the close distance won't fit on an M (even if you might be able to attach the NOOKY-HESUM with an LTM-to-M-adapter). The SOOKY-M (or SOMKY) will work with the (old) Elmar with M-mount and the collapsible Summicron. You can also unscrew the front lens element of a rigid Summicron and attach it to the SOOKY-M (or SOMKY) with an additional intermediate ring called UOORF.
