Fookuda Posted April 6, 2023 Share #1 Posted April 6, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey Forum, I've recently acquires a Summilux-R 50mm f/1.4 for my R system. The lens has what appears to be a spec of fungus on one of the rear elements. Although I'm technically minded and don't mind tearing into this lens, I'm opting for a professional service in Los Angeles. Now because I'm very particular, I'm willing to pay $$ to get this lens back to pristine. I'm very aware that fungus that's sat on the groups for awhile may etch the glass and/or return if it's beneath the coatings. That said, does anyone have a professional recommendation for such a case? I've reached out to Duclos and they are about 175/hr from 2-6hrs. 250swb Posted April 7, 2023 Share #2 Posted April 7, 2023 Hydrogen peroxide and ammonia mixed 50/50 is the usual 'solution' if you do fancy doing the job yourself.
