nfield Posted November 7, 2007 Share #4 Posted November 7, 2007 Just press the R key and you'll be brought to the Develop module where you can adjust the crop. Press Enter when done with the crop and it will show the cropped image.
mwalker649 Posted November 7, 2007 Share #5 Posted November 7, 2007 In the develop module there is a icon at the bottom left that looks like a window with notches. Click it and drag the crop window where you want it.

guy Posted November 7, 2007 Share #8 Posted November 7, 2007 Don't know if the Adobe video covers this, but if you want to crop to a different orientation (ie portrait –> landscape or vice versa), you do this via the crop rectangle: grab its corner, and skew it right around until the crop frame "pops" round to the other orientation. I only mention it because I found it pretty counter-intuitive and had to ask on the Lightroom forums to find out how to do it. Happy cropping! gwelland Posted November 7, 2007 Share #9 Posted November 7, 2007 Lightroom has one of the best crop tools out there - if you've never seen the overlay options then check out View->Crop Overlay Options where you can display grids on the thirds, golden section, spiral, etc etc. Very neat. The rotate/level functions are excellent also. I also like & use Aperture but this is one area where LR blows Aperture away.
johnwolf Posted November 7, 2007 Share #10 Posted November 7, 2007 Robert, Note that you can also crop to standard and custom proportions using the Aspect drop-down menu. Very handy. John
