Hi, Yes I can confirm that it functions exactly the same as any Leica lens.

The first time I fitted the lens to my T a message briefly came up on the screen telling me the cameras firmware was being updated, then it worked perfectly with distortion correction and the like working as it should.

Makes a handy 30-90mm equivalent and very light, they are a good match.

All the best, Mark

Does a full frame L lens, like the Lumix 20-60mm, reduce the megapixel level on a TL2, or require any special Menu setting beforehand to use? Or, does it just give a 30-90mm equivalent field of view at the standard megapixel level?

Does the Panasonic Lumix S 20-60mm f/3.5-5.6 work on the Leica Type 701? I understand that I would be using a full frame lens on a crop frame sensor, but I was wondering if all functions such as auto focus work. Does anyone have any experience with photo quality with this combo?

I have not used that Sigma lens, I have the Leica TL 18-56 f3.5, I bought it used and it works great.
If money is not going to be an issue, my advice is to buy the Leica lens, TL 18.56 f3.5. (Can be new or used).

No reduction in pixels... that happens when using Aps-c lens on FF camera/sensor.   So 24mps 30-90mm equiv.
