wilfredo Posted August 21, 2006 Share #1 Posted August 21, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Any Noise Ninja users out there? I was using Noise Ninja tonight and instead of reducing noise it added noise. I can't figure this out, it never happened before. I've also noticed that when I use the contrast tool on PS on a 14 BIT scanned TIFF file, that after I press O.K. the amount of contrast I'm getting is less than what I had just seen on the screen. Is my PC going bonkers? Any ideas? I turned the computer off and on again, but the problem persists. Cheers, Wilfredo+
Advertisement Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Hi wilfredo, Take a look here Noise Ninja. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
richam Posted August 21, 2006 Share #2 Posted August 21, 2006 Wilfredo, I've been using NoiseNinja for some time, but never got too deep into it. I'd like to see what others have to say on this topic. One thing I did notice was the improvement when I downloaded noise profiles and started using them. erl Posted August 21, 2006 Share #3 Posted August 21, 2006 Wilfredo, I have had NN for awhile, but use only sometimes. I am by no means an expert. Following are two images of a pic I shot on an Epson RD1 with a Leica lens (can't remember which one!) ISO was 1600. Firts image is without NN.Second is after appying NN. It is a very difficult image to work with and needs some NN, but I am still playing with "how much." Cheers, Erl Welcome, dear visitor! wilfredo Posted August 21, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted August 21, 2006 I've never had problems with this before and it appears to be working on the screen until I click O.K., then what I had on the preview is not what I get. I'm wondering if the computer is some how not able to apply the command? Cheers, Wilfredo+
erl Posted August 21, 2006 Share #5 Posted August 21, 2006 Wilfredo, Have you tried uninstalling then re-installing the NN pug in? I can't think of anything else.
imported_peter_m Posted August 22, 2006 Share #6 Posted August 22, 2006 Wilfredo, What Earl said, if that doesn't work contact he developer, plug in developers are normally pretty good in responding to problems. Other thing could be the bit depth of the file, the small version doesn't support 16 bit if I remember correct. Peter
