erl Posted March 6, 2023 Share #1 Posted March 6, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Leica M9 & Noctilux @ f1.0 I walk every day. Usually twice, with Jupiter my German Shepherd. He has (finally) learned to stop and wait when he hears/sees me fiddle with my camera. We walk pretty much the same route most days and I have for years. I practice 'seeing' and finding different images to shoot despite passing the same objects each day. It is amazing how things 'differ' from time to time. I try to never repeat a shot, despite the motif being (frequently) the same. How many different ways can we view something? I'm still finding out. Today's 'take' follows. It was a wet day, light was low, I was nearly bored, so I applied the Noctilux's main talent of shallow DOF to amuse myself. Welcome, dear visitor! carl_valiquet Posted March 6, 2023 Share #3 Posted March 6, 2023 Beautiful image. I like your story and how Jupiter recognizes the sounds when you are about to photograph. Regards. Carl

It is beyond measure the value that having a dog to walk with, especially when they 'read' you and your mood. Jupiter, just as his predecessor Merlin did, relax me and allow me to observe more slowly. The companionship that emanates from such a pal really encourages one to enjoy the surroundings and meetings that result along the way.

One day....We live in the mountains in Java and during the rainy season there are many leaches. I am afraid that the dog would suffer from this. I agree, waking with a camera encourages us to look at the world, add the presence of a dog and I would think that one gets even more aware. Happy travels with Jupiter. Regards.
