Jay101 Posted November 1, 2007 Share #1 Posted November 1, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) With all the bitching and defensiveness of late I thought I'd post something of a distraction, something you might now know. It's not M8 specific, but what the heck... Paul McArtney's wife Linda was once discussing her cameras with Paul when she said, "I like my Leica like my Nikon" - her two fave cameras at the time. Paul suddenly stopped listening, he's thinking, "Woah, that's a rhyme pattern if ever I heard one" and in due course he wrote the song "She Loved Her Biker Like an Icon", but the "sound" came right out of that offhand comment by Leica lover Linda. I know this is true because I was in the room when he recited the story. Here's an extract from the lyrics below. She loved the biker like an icon Gazing at his picture everyday. She loved the biker like an icon Slowly watching precious water drip away.

Joe Mondello Posted November 1, 2007 Share #4 Posted November 1, 2007 I dunno . . . Mc-ART-ney might just fly with Sir Paul! Linda probably said "I *love* my Leica -- *like* my Nikon. I do as well!

innerimager Posted November 1, 2007 Share #9 Posted November 1, 2007 I came from Stevenson country, but you sure have to admire a President who said "Beware of the military-industrial complex." Can you imagine that being said today by those in power?
