But i Have a good trade with my dealer, my cv15 + 2900€ for a New WATE including Leica Frankenfinder. Does it worth the price? and most important, would you make the trade finding you with the 3lens set WATE 35lux pre-asph and 35cron asph 75lux or would you prefer this set: cv12 (i have to buy) cv15 (i alreayd own) elmarit 21asph (I have to buy used) 35lux pre-asph and 35cron asph (i both own) 75lux (i already own) ----------------------------------- matter of fact, may the WATE really replace the 15cv and the 21 elmarit for what that concern quality, contrast, speed and all of those stuff? matter of fact 2: How many of you would prefer WATE to CV15 (and viceversa) and why? thanks to you all guys! hav a great time! With the wate I use the Millich adapter and now dont have any stuff like handcoding etc. Also I have fully usable f4.0 in the wate. Its an expensive lens though (I got if for my 30% discount) I do admit that I mainly use 16mm or 21mm - not so much 18mm. The Frankenfinder I dont use much, I use the Ricoh GRD 21-28mm finder instead, which I love-small, bright, unexpensive, less distorsion. Regarding your first setup (wate,35,75) I would miss a fast wide lens like a 24/2.8 or even better a 28/2.0. I would rather go wate +24 or 28 + 50 + 90 But thats me. The CV15 I have to stop down to about f/8 before it is really sharp, whereas the WATE is sharp from wide open. I also don't really use the CV15 any more, except when size is the prime consideration. I think with the 12, 15 etc you will have a more rounded kit but if you go with the wate you're still going to want the funky cv12 for some unique shots. i find i can throw the cv15 in any pocket when I go out with another lens, its so light and small I figure might as well have it. I also love the feel of the m8 with the cv15, absolutely no weight on the shoulder and a breeze to focus. up to you tho mate. I can't imagine using that heinous looking viewfinder, seems its harder to set up and deal with than the actual photography itself or changing a lens....b Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I find the CV15 unacceptable unless stopped down to f11, at least. I have to ignore that the image is degrading from the small aperture at this point......... In particular, when close focusing, I find the bokeh at infinity unattractive. Can't spend your money, but the images that have been posted here, many by Guy Mancuso, show the WATE to be *much* superior to the CV15. Not a surprise, of course.
