Telephoto Q2 alternative

I know there's no such thing with the Q2 but I'd like something very similar with an 85-90mm focal length.  I use my Q2 for 28-35-50 but don't like the 75mm crop, and would prefer something longer.  Thoughts?

@kmonroe99 I'm not sure that there is a camera with many of the features of the Q2 but with an 85-90mm focal length. 

The thing that comes to mind for me is an M camera with the APO 90mm Summicron lens. 

I have shot a lot with my M-P 240 and 90mm APO, musical performances and concerts where you need working distance and want a shallow DOF and relatively fast maximum aperture.  That lens mounted on an M camera is about as good of a combination as you are going to get at 90mm IMHO.

I have oftern wondered how the 135mm f3.4 APO-Telyt-M would do in that situation.  At some point, I'm going to give that lens a try.

Q2 crop to 85mm equivalent is about 12mm x 8mm, 5MP. A little smaller than 1" sensor. There are tone's of choices.

Have you considered Leica X Vario or Dlux 7 (or Lumix LX100x), with slight cropping, of course.

I would look at a pre-owned CL with a Sigma 56mm f1.4 (85mm equivalent at full frame) or the Leica TL 55-135 zoom (85-200mm equivalent a full frame.) That's a very wieldy alternative, good image quality and easy to use.

What are the features you like in the Q2? Do you need full frame? Do you need some sort of stabilization? Are you looking for a light package? Do you need autofocus?

If you don't need full frame or IBIS you could go with a CL. If you need a stabilized platform for longer lens your only Leica options are the SL2 series, but it's a heavier system. If you need full frame but don't need IBIS and you don't mind manual focus you can go M. 

It all depends on what you need and what you plan on using it for. So more details could give you better suggestions.

The more I thought about it, I hated the L mount interface despite functionality. M has the most character IMHO, and the Q has it too.

That would rule out any L-mount camera as none have Aperture rings on the lenses or conventional top plate controls.

Fuji? If you can handle “breakfast diner” menus written by people with possible ADD. Even government tax forms are better organized.

In fairness to Fuji if you have your settings and FN buttons set up properly in conjunction with the dials you won't need to access the menu very often at all.  Pretty sure I have ADD so I spent a good deal of time setting up the fn buttons for exactly what I use frequently. 

Sony's GM lenses and some of their better G lenses now have aperture rings which I love.
