Jumping in! Hi everyone. After my M9 had corrosion on the sensor for the second time, I traded it in for the M10R. I don't see myself getting another digital M, unless I go Monochrome.  If you don't own a Barnack, consider it. I purchased a II recently. The ability to have a Leica that cleanly slips into your pocket is invaluable. And it's completely mechanical. Happy 4th!

I got my M10r from my dealer -not a Leica Store, but still an official agent- almost new. it had belonged to a gentleman who exchanged it for an M11, and although the shutter count would be speculation, it was barely used. I have used it paired with an M9 P.  When I use the Ms, the 9 goes with a 50 summicron and the 10r with the 28 -and occasionally a 75-  In general, I like the camera, although the Visoflex is trouble with a capital T.  I also have issues matching the color between both cameras in post, but am slowly getting there. The use experience is very good, although I have to remind myself to shoot at higher shutter speeds to prevent shake.  Both are silver, but my 9 has gone through many things and has a couple ugly scars in the front, the 10r is still in pristine condition.

If the 10r was my only M, I would be happy. I still love better the 9, but I recognize the technical advance of ten years. It is a very refined and beautiful tool.
