JHAG Posted October 28, 2007 Share #1  Posted October 28, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Two questions : 1/ I have a Minolta Multi Pro which yield excellent results, especially in low light negs. I'm not very fond of the Dimage UI? so I use Vuescan instead. I wondered though if there was another option available, apart those two. Thanks to all for advice.  2/ I wish to give a try to Capture One. Is LE sufficient, or has the Pro version real assets that make it worth the price ? My only comparison is PS Elements, which, at first (2 years ago…), thought would be enough, and proved in days it wasn't, so I went for CS2, then CS3. Advertisement Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Hi JHAG, Take a look here Scanning and Capture One. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
erl Posted October 28, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted October 28, 2007 In my experience, VueScan is an excellent choice for scanning film, on any scanner. Â Your question about C1 LE is quite different. It is not scanning software. It is for RAW conversion of digital files to a variety of output file formats such as tiff or jpeg, etc. It is excellent software and its replacement upgrade is on the way. Ver 4 Beta has been released and is about to expire in favour of the next level of development. Definitely worth a try for M8 files, with a bit of a learning curve of course. JHAG Posted October 28, 2007 Author Share #3  Posted October 28, 2007 Oh, thanks, erl, yes, I know these are two different subjets in one post. I should have made it clearer. Thank you for the update news, I'll wait a bit then. But the choice remains between the LE version and the Pro one…
