Travelling with IXMOO & FILCA - any experience?

I was thinking of bringing some of these brass cartridges on an international trip, but worry if they would cause too much trouble.

The argument for doing that, is that the brass would shield the film from the x-ray radiation - and if put in a Domke Lead bag, they would likely get enough protection when even passing through even one of the new CT scanners.

As this approach would yield a dark image at airport security screen, it would likely result in a following hand inspection post scanning. 
This is the part I am worried about - what would security think of a cartridge that most of all assembles high caliber ammunition?

Any experiences?

Just take an empty spare that you can disassemble and demonstrate as the harmless object that it is, if anyone asks.

One Leica object that I have always hesitated to have in my carry-on, however, is the trimming-template.  I can imagine it might look too scissory or knifey to some security personnel.  And taking even a Leicavit on board an airplane gives me pause, as a layman could easily mistake a Leica using it as a cross between a camera and a swiss-army knife.

And with a Leicavit or SCNOO there is also the trigger!  I agree with M9reno that having an empty demonstration FILCA would be your best chance - unless the security were unhappy and wanted to look in all the others too.
