The entire scene needs to be at infinity to see how the corners perform at infinity – your image has the corners out of focus. The edges left and right look good, but hard to tell from a screenshot taken from video resolution. To evaluate for landscape purposes, the screen shots need to be at least at 1:1 / 100% magnification from an original RAW file without too much sharpening applied.

Here I show the LLL SPII at infinity f/8 in the center / edge / and corners.

I admire your endeavor, however if one is insearch for the Holy Grail of Cheap landscape lenses there are better candidates to be found:)

Absolutely, I agree. The Voigtlander 50 APO is far superior and about the same price. Truth is I like shooting the LLL SPII for infinity landscape at f/2 because it’s still sharp but has an ethereal glow. Will post some samples of that taken on the M11M when I get them processed later today.

LLL SPII  -|-  M11 Monochrom  -|-  B+W Light Red filter

Character of this lens completely changes from glow at f/2 (but still sharp to the corners) to a "normal" high-resolving lens when stopped down.

Please don't judge these without clicking on them to see the sharper versions – they look soft in the post previews:

Working on the CPS-SP comparison files, also included are Summicron m v2, Summicron R, Summilux asph v1, Canon LTM 1.4, Jupiter 3, Primoplan 58, Elcan.

Spoiler alert, the CPS and the Leica Summicron R (1969) at close focus f/2; the files are virtually identical, stay tuned:)

To continue, the distance from the camera and the subject was the same for all examples.  Some examples exhibited focus breathing (an apparent zoom at close distances).  Below, some examples that wouldn’t load in the original post.

Cooke just pulled out the trump card and announced a set of full frame SP3 (Speed Panchro) lenses at a very affordable price (for cine lenses)... The lenses are optimized for mirrorless cameras, sport T2.4 light transmission and have 9 iris blades.
