nalani96734 Posted February 6, 2023 Share #1 Posted February 6, 2023 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, I have had my M9 sensor replaced in 2017 and had it cleaned, etc. The sensor issue in this M9 was really bad. It started with blips on the screen then it went entirely white over the course of about a year or so and was totally unusable. I have not used the camera in a few years and it has been carefully stored, however, I live in Hawaii where it is very humid. Since starting it up there is now a vertical black line off center to the left, which goes from the top to the bottom of the screen. The line is always there, it does not go away. Did some research online and tried resetting everything and changing cards, but to no avail. I have not updated the firmware as I need to buy something to download the cards into. Any suggestions on that would be greatly appreciated. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone out there have any advice on what this could be? I came across a forum that mentioned it may be a sensor issue. Is this a sensor for the screen or could this be relating to the original sensor that corroded? dpitt Posted February 6, 2023 Share #2 Posted February 6, 2023 Welcome to the forum. Did you open the image on your PC and does the line show up there? If not it is just your screen or controller that is faulty. If it does not get worse I would keep on using it like this. If not you might ask Leica for a quote but I am not sure at all they will still have the parts.
