Landberg Posted February 5, 2023 Share #1 Posted February 5, 2023 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi! I have the Color Skopar 35mm with the LH-4N lens hood. I just bought a nisi 39mm uv-filter and now I cant use the hood. It’s to thick?! Can anyone recommend a filter that will work with the hood? Thanks Edited February 5, 2023 by Landberg

Thanks My Breakthrough 39mm filter did not work with the LH-4N on the 28 Ultron II – the knurling on the outside of the filter ring made it too thick. I switched to a 39mm Leica UV and was able to use the hood with success. Zeiss UV and B+W (excluding F-Pro) should work fine, too.
intangiblethings Posted February 6, 2023 Share #3 Posted February 6, 2023 I've had similar experiences with filters that didn't allow the mounting of Voigtlander lens hoods. I went with a Tiffen Pro Mist and it fit unlike some other brands but your mileage may vary.
Huss Posted February 7, 2023 Share #4 Posted February 7, 2023 I use Leica or B+W including F Pro and they all work fine.

My b&w color filters are all F Pro and seem HUGE, so I thought there was no way they'd fit 🤪

Leica UVa E39 (13131 That's the older version. New version II with modern multi-coatings is this one: https://leicastoremiami.com/products/leica-uva-ii-filter-e39-black # 13030 But in my opinion, it's overpriced. It's also made of aluminum instead of brass. Brass fits more tightly and is easier to remove from the lens.
rramesh Posted February 17, 2023 Share #8 Posted February 17, 2023 (edited) I've had no problems with the Voigtlander LH-4N and the B+W 39mm filter on the Voigtlander 35 1.5. It works well with both the older UV MRC and the newer ones with knurled rings (Master line). It's a great combination, but I have a different option now. I'm currently using a 39-46 step up ring so that I can use the 46mm Tiffin Pro Mist. This works better for me as most of my effects filters are 46mm. If I do need a hood I just add a black Contax hood. Edited February 17, 2023 by rramesh
HansPAF Posted January 13 Share #9 Posted January 13 Now I'm in the same situation. Unfortunately, I'm not quite sure what it all means. Initial situation: Voigtlaender Ultron 2.0 / 28 mm, with a 39 mm thread. Do I understand correctly that a UV filter (e.g., T-Pro 010 UV filter MRC nano) is screwed onto the lens first and then the circular polarizing filter is screwed onto the UV filter? So everything should work if I purchase the following components: Voigtlaender LH-4N B+W Filter T-Pro UV B+W T-Pro circular polarizing filter HTC KSM MRC nano Thanks in advance. Best Regards Hans

Best Regards Hans Never stack multiple filters on any lens or flare will be an issue. To use the CPL, just don't use the hood so it doesn't block access to the rotating filter ring.
