gwpics Posted February 4, 2023 Share #1 Posted February 4, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have just acquired a beautiful M6 (see below) from Andy at Classic Cameras in London. He described it as “mint” and it doesn’t look as though it has ever been used. Despite its age it is unmarked and was serviced by Leica Germany prior to sale. First time I have dealt with Andy who was very helpful, very knowledgeable, and a great guy to talk to. I have known of his shop for years and he has supplied Leicas to all the greats. I would recommend contacting him, a sheer pleasure to deal with (everything done by phone in my case) if there is anything you are looking for. Gerry Welcome, dear visitor! No complaints.
Mikep996 Posted February 4, 2023 Share #3 Posted February 4, 2023 "...and was serviced by Leica Germany prior to sale." Did they add the film scratching upgrade or are you stuck with an original, non scratching model? If so, you could probably send it in and have that fitted at very low cost. 🤣 Sorry, couldn't resist!

Absolutely no idea. I had a M6 from new many years ago and never had a problem so I don’t expect one now. Gerry

I used to use a M6 back around the early 2000's and I have the original box for that which was WHITE plastic whereas my latest one is black plastic. There is something about Leica when even the packaging is iconic! Gerry
