Advertisement Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 Hi marc_dufour, Take a look here Jungfrau II . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
john_r_smith Posted June 27, 2006 Share #2 Posted June 27, 2006 Hmmmmm still an impressive shot though, Marc. Without the fence it would not work. On my calibrated monitor I am seeing hints of green and magenta - if this is still RGB perhaps it would be better to desaturate it to clean things up. Or it may be that my monitor is not as good as I thought Both these Jungfrau pictures are great. John
marc_dufour Posted June 27, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted June 27, 2006 John, Really, in this series the combination between light, snow and cloud produced a brightness in the limits for my eyes, camera and film. And I'm afraid that it's beyond my scanner capacities, also. I saw some strange colors, probably caused by ocular fatigue, but very similar to what you can see now in our screen. Thanks a lot for looking and advice. Marc

ed_oneal Posted June 27, 2006 Share #6 Posted June 27, 2006 Fabulous and a bit frightening. BTW I see no colors at all on my laptop monitor. It's all B&W&Gray. Ed
marc_dufour Posted June 27, 2006 Author Share #7 Posted June 27, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, Ed It's true it seems there is no color, but if you enlarge it, you'll find some green at left, red at right, and blue in the bottom. There were really critical conditions, even for my scanner :-) I'm glad you like it. Marc
imported_peter_m Posted July 1, 2006 Share #8 Posted July 1, 2006 This is very nice. I can see the color cast on my machine but I think it adds to the image. Peter
marc_dufour Posted July 1, 2006 Author Share #9 Posted July 1, 2006 Truly, I didn't see almost nothing but light :-) Thank you, Peter, I'm glad yo like it. Marc
imported_peter_m Posted July 1, 2006 Share #10 Posted July 1, 2006 Marc, I been in wetter like this before but never got a picture like yours. All you seam to see is grayscale but looks like the lens sees a bit more Peter
marc_dufour Posted July 2, 2006 Author Share #11 Posted July 2, 2006 Peter, Clearly, lenses and films are able to resist better so much light than my own eyes. But, unfortunately, my scanner is even less sensitive. :-) Thanks for looking and comment. Marc
