If budget is an issue, you will lose very little choosing the Summicron over the Summilux. My reasoning for either of these lenses are their lightweight and portability. When I purchased the Noctilux in 2005, I needed it like a hole in my brain, and truthfully, the same thing is true for many of the lenses I own. I purchased it because I wanted it for its low light capabilities, knowing full well I could use it as an all arounder if need be. The Summilux is still my favorite lens, but for special times, the Noctilux is a special lens. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
