Incidentally, and you may already know this (but maybe others reading this don't), the point you really want is the entrance pupil, which isn't (usually) the same as either of the nodal points - even though it's often called the nodal point.  Details here:

Wow, never thought of that, thanks David. I already did try to determine the entrance pupil myself using the method in the link above. I'm not sure if I did it right and was wondering where OP calculated or measured the entrance pupil. I believe it might be close to behind the aperture adjust ring on the lens. Let me know where you'd put it. Thanks
