kristyansen Posted January 22, 2023 Share #1 Posted January 22, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear All, do you consider the M11 a similar color experience as the M10-R? As a fan of the M9 colors, I am fascinated by the M10-R colors and natural feel including at higher ISO, based on the Leica Forum thread. Some users have even compared the M10-R colors with slide which is great. I am not as much in awe with the Leica M11 colors though I appreciate its higher ISO capabilities. I use an M-P (Type 240) and I am considering upgrading to M10-R since I do not 100% the M240 colors, I am limited by the ISO as I also shoot at dark including street and I would like a clean ISO 6400. I also intend to use more the Leica M professionally for documentary / reportage photography.
Advertisement Posted January 22, 2023 Posted January 22, 2023 Hi kristyansen, Take a look here M10-R vs M11 colors / including high(er) ISO. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
don daniel Posted January 22, 2023 Share #2 Posted January 22, 2023 You will not get clean ISO 6400 with the M10-R. The M10 does the better job at high ISO.

Still only a small amount of noise at 3200/6400…at least for b&w… https://www.reddotforum.com/content/2021/02/bw-iso-showdown-2021-leica-q2-monochrom-vs-m10-monochrom-vs-q2-vs-m10-r/ Jeff Edited January 22, 2023 by Jeff S

After that, print out both images and you won't see any difference, maybe except for the poster size.
