Yes, I checked them as well. My eBay order was cancelled by the seller. Might have something to do with our new Australian child-resistant packaging policies for button batteries.

Never found 1/3N lithium here, and never bothered looking overseas. I just get SR44 batteries. Available at Coles, Woolies and even Bunnings ;)

Careful with Duracell.  Some of their 1/3N batteries are alkaline, sold as lithium.  And others are lithium.  Read the package fine print.

Alkaline version:

I have never seen an CR1/3N Alkaline so far from any brand. I tried to find an alkaline CR1/3N from Duracell buit couldn´t find one...  🙂

Looks pretty clear to me.

On your one, yes.  Duracell packaging varies from country to country.  And even w/in the same country it can vary.

This is a heads up - on many Duracell packages I have seen sold in hardware stores in the US (eg Home Depot) the actual chemistry is written in very small text on a front corner.

I'm not arguing with anyone here - just saying check carefully if need be.  Your one has it nice and bold on it which is great.

The ones I have are lithium, but again you  can see the writing is very small on the bottom left corner.  So it is easy to buy these batteries not realizing you bought alkaline cells.

I have seen this on the shelf here with the LR/SR cells too.  The Duracell packaging is identical, just the tiny text differentiates.

The Duracell ones I linked too.  And easy enough to find others if you search

As usual only buy from a reputable outlet and certainly not from this one.

Is there a CR1/3N lithium battery supply problem? It seems impossible to obtain branded (Duracell, Varta, Energizer, ...) CR1/3N 3V lithium batteries from any photo equipment dealer here in Australia. I have a Fujitsu-branded one on order from a large dealer since November last year. Expected date of delivery is unknown. None of the large electronics dealers here has any CR1/3N stock. Even B&H only has some Chinese ones in stock. What is going on? These were available on every corner in the past. I now ordered some Duracell ones from a US-based ebay store, but I prefer not to buy batteries on eBay, there is always the risk of receiving counterfeit.

The 1/3N lithiums used to be part of the standard battery display at US drugstores (chemists) and the like, but they disappeared from those outlets a few years ago and now I can only find them in camera stores and online. Similarly, the silver oxide batts used to be sold in handy 2-packs, but now are only available in 3-packs; some electronic devices, like my aged HP-12C calculator, take three of them. So I buy two 3-packs and have enough for three cameras.

For those outside of EU/US, where Duracell is almost non existent, I recommend Panasonic SR44 (2), as the best option for Leica M battery. Do not go with LR44, as these can leak and don’t last as long.

SR = silver oxide = good.

LR = alkaline = the devil's work.
