Paul Heiney Posted January 18, 2023 Share #1 Posted January 18, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm struggling with this. I've got the supplied USB cable between camera and Mac. Should the camera appear on the desk top? Do I need software? (Fotos not made for desktops) I've selected 'computer' in the USB menu but no joy, and checking the USB connection data on the Mac, Leica is not showing up. The USB charging is working so the cable is OK What's the best way to do this, without having to remove the card

swonetto Posted February 1, 2023 Share #3 Posted February 1, 2023 (edited) Good morning, I have the same problem. Please we need a solution. It is unusual that this camera comes with a USB cable and does not work Edited February 1, 2023 by swonetto
jaapv Posted February 1, 2023 Share #4 Posted February 1, 2023 AFAIK the USB connection is for charging only. Page 14 in the (Dutch) manual. The only way I can think of is to download to your phone by the app and use a cloud service like Lightroom Mobile to have an automatic import on your Mac. There might be software for Windows. Page 54 of the manual suggests this. The latest versions of Mac OS struggle with ExFat storage anyway. What version of MacOS are you using?
flamidey Posted February 1, 2023 Share #5 Posted February 1, 2023 I have no trouble connecting the D-Lux 7 to a Mac with USB. It shows up as an ejectable volume. Is you card formatted in camera? It requires no software to see the card as a volume for sure.
