zanydave Posted October 19, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted October 19, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Anybody experienced the function button on the rear of the DMR becoming detached?.. If so, is this a return to Leica situation & how long is it likely to take?.. Â Thanks.
Advertisement Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Hi zanydave, Take a look here DMR Function Button. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
andybarton Posted October 19, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted October 19, 2007 Is it the right scroll wheel / four way button that's broken, Dave? Â If so, I think that this is a "known issue" and one that requires a trip to Solms. IIRC, Conrad had this problem very early on in his DMR ownership. zanydave Posted October 19, 2007 Author Share #3  Posted October 19, 2007 Andy, it's the bottom left button used for setting WB, ISO etc.. Looks like it's off to Solms then  Dave
pascal_meheut Posted October 19, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted October 19, 2007 It happened to some DMR users at the very beginning. And yes, it is worth a trip to Solms where they will solve the problem once and for all.
andybarton Posted October 19, 2007 Share #5  Posted October 19, 2007 My memory isn't as bad as I thought it was...  http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/digital-forum/8220-finally-happened.html  Not good news for the DMR, though, Dave.  Speak to David Humphries at Milton Keynes in the first instance. gogopix Posted October 20, 2007 Share #6 Â Posted October 20, 2007 Guy had this problem solved with gaffer tape! :-) [really] then he sent it to NJ there is a new wheel and clip design; stronger well worth doing and a quick fix let them know this is the only problem and they may fast track it regrads
mgcd Posted October 20, 2007 Share #7 Â Posted October 20, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Gaffer tape worked flawlessly until I finally got this fixed at Leica NJ this summer. It's really a minor annoyance if you use RAW and IF you were set at a reasonnable ISO setting. Thankfully my DMR was set at 400 ISO for a year... Â Cheers,
