While tall should not be the objective of good architecture these two are outstanding new Chicago buildings

Left, Vista Tower, 2020 and Right Aqua,  2009 Both by Jeanne Gang of Studio Gang

Nice to be able to go out in the rain with the Q2

Hello war, frightening these heights .... i find it better to use empty architecture

due to the external structure, the tallest tower seems to sway.......😵

Yes all of these tall structures sway from wind loading, quite a bit.  Each has a system such as tuned mass dampers to minimize the effects of wind. The frighteningly high Vista Tower uses open floors in the top tower to dissipate the wind and the Aqua uses the irregularly shaped curved balconies to do the same.

That is an impressive ensemble, very well taken. Chicago has quite a reputation for innovative high-risers.

Thank you. Yes Chicago is where it all began.
