Will Zorki base plate fit 1950 Leica IIIc?

I found a great deal on IIIc w/o base plate. Camera seams to be alright otherwise and I am able to overhaul it, but I can’t do a lot without base plate. Can anyone tell me or check if Zorki’s baseplate will fit IIIc? Of course I’m thinking about Zorki 1, 1S, 2, 2S, 5 and 6. 3 are 4 series were larger.

I'd say no. The Zorki and FED cameras I have were both copied from the Leica  II. Even here the baseplates come close, but don't quite fir my Leica II. The Leica IIIc (and later) body is larger by about 1/8 inch in length, so even the older Leica baseplates won't fit the IIIc.

Try Leica repair places: I was able to get a IIIc baseplate from DAG here in the US, as he has a stock of such parts from older Leicas.

Definitely not. As Tom says (above) the IIIc was longer than the earlier models and it was the Leica II which was the subject of the Zorki 1 / FED 1 FSU cameras.
