imported_peter_m Posted August 18, 2006 Share #1 Posted August 18, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) R3 200 Supiria Had some hot shot mountain bikers out here last fall, there were up in the area to shoot some promo material. Just to bad they got here rater late and the light was pretty poor. Peter

farnz Posted January 30, 2007 Share #3 Posted January 30, 2007 Peter, That looks like a very difficult shot that you've done pretty well with considering the low light, the speed of the action and no autofocus. The lens looks to be wide open and your zone of focus is good but for me it's very slightly soft indicating that a faster shutter speed was needed but was oviously not an option. Your timing was spot on and you've caught the bike at an angle that appears like it's 'uh-oh' time. A good attempt and thanks for sharing. Pete. imported_peter_m Posted January 30, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted January 30, 2007 Thank you Ed and Pete! Ed you must have been digging pretty deep in the archives to find this one. I am glad to get some comments on it Yes the guys landed all save and sound no crashes or anything. The three guys riding are some of the top riders in BC so they know what they are doing. Pete, I had a few turn out not to bad on a couple there is more sharpness but this one was the most spectacular one for the action. I was shooting wide open with the 90 Elmarit if I remember correct and the time was a bit slow and my panning technique probably needs more practice.
