Shu_downunder Posted December 31, 2022 Share #1 Posted December 31, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) I own a Vario-Elar-R 21-35. Without any dropping or collision, the rear rubber ring is broken and most part has fallen off from the part connected to the lens body. It won't affect normal operation however the back of the lens losses protection. And if there is any small parts falling into the camera or the back of the lens, it could be resulting in something I dare not to look at. My question is, can I order this from Leica, and can I fix this myself? IMG_2907.HEIC

Hans-Dieter Gülicher Posted December 31, 2022 Share #2 Posted December 31, 2022 (edited) As to my knowledge Leica stopped the production of R ... in 2008. I propose to contact the Leica customer service Wetzlar. By the way, I`m using the same lense adapted to my M10-R and it works well. Using it on M bodies could be much better than in other brand mirrorless bodies like my old a7, which seems only good for 50mm + R lenses.
