Here's an interesting short article about Leidolf cameras that were made in Wetzlar up until 1962. 

I must confess that I had never heard of Leidolf before reading this article.

There is an article on this very subject in Issue 45 (current) of The Leica Society magazine, in fact I think that is the article!
