Hope to have R8/DMR back with me before Christmas – Royal Mail's ind. action permitting. Total cost inc. shipping £95. And David advised that after dismantling the DMR, he is very impressed by Imacon's 'over-engineered' DMR design. I bought the DMR s/h as an R9/DMR combo on 30 Dec 2011. robert_parker Posted December 16, 2022 Share #2 Posted December 16, 2022 (edited) I've still got my R9 / DMR combination and I'm still impressed with the image quality when I use it - it brings out the quality of R lenses well and remains enjoyable to use as I find although it's heavy, it sits well in the hand and is easy to carry. I think mine was one of the first few into the UK and I think it comes from about 2004 although I'd need to look at the box to be sure. It's great to know about sources of maintenance - I'd actually expected this to be the case over time but it's pleasing to see it's happening for digital cameras.
