I've never seen anything quite like this. We had a bit of snow last night and this morning I went out looking for scenics with my camera. This layer of snow apparently accumulated on an electrical box and was then nearly blown off, but ended up hanging just half way off.

My current theory is that the electrical box generated some heat that melted the bottom portion of the snow cap, causing it to slide down the slightly inclined surface, aided by a fairly strong wind from the north.
