Marc B-C Posted March 14, 2023 Share #21 Posted March 14, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Not for me. I switch it off on my iPhone photos and have no need on my camera. All photos are filed down within an appropriately titled folder which tells me all I want to know about where that set was taken.

LocalHero1953 Posted March 23, 2023 Share #24 Posted March 23, 2023 No. I had it in the SL and never used it. I can remember where I took any photo for which the location is relevant.
beewee Posted May 15, 2023 Share #25 Posted May 15, 2023 (edited) I definitely find having geolocation information useful in photos. It’s not so much that when I look at a photo, I want to know where I took it. That’s usually quite rare unless I’m travelling in unfamiliar locations. What I find most useful is that I may know where I’ve taken a photo but have a hard time finding the photo many years later in my library with tens of thousands of photos. But since I know where the photo was taken, I can search by location and quickly find the photo in a few seconds. Also, it seems Leica has made some serious improvements to the FOTOs app’s geotagging capabilities and now it seems to actually work very seamlessly, at least on iOS, with the SL2-S. Can’t speak for other cameras as I don’t have a Q2 or M11. Edited May 15, 2023 by beewee
