semrich Posted August 18, 2006 Share #1 Posted August 18, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) The thread titled "Setting Up Potatoes" developed into a story, getting the mans permission, a limited conversation with him, seeing him later, and him asking if we would say hello to his daughter sometime. I did stop to say hello and asked her if I could take her picture. When I get a chance I will have the three pictures printed and give them each copies. Thanks for looking, Richard

vic vic Posted August 18, 2006 Share #2 Posted August 18, 2006 richard - great again - simple and "touching". richard, im nogt exactly sure how to say it, so try to take my words in the most contributing way to yourself... in your posts, i can see a candid photography that comes like drops of water. now, when u live in that place u can make it cause i have plenty of time to get back later to rethink etc. when u r in some place for short time, u try to catch the essense of that place and start doing intenssive work of course. doing drop by drop u can feel of courswe a galsss of water, but i would rather sugest that when u r in the mood of photography just increase slightly the intesivity. of course not as intenssive like being in some place for short time though. why is this?? cause work u want to make here - the candid, ,is a matter of impressions tat u record. so it is a good idea that u will try to catch and record those impressions in "waves". not big/huge waves (like being in place for short time) but smaller waves that will show some additional punch to your project. later of course u will make selection of photos, and u will have great selection many directions and great ability to "cover". here i share with u some of my approaches - so see for yourself what can be an advance for yourself.
