Hi,

Long-time lurker...

A BEOON screw-mount copy stand is on offer on That Auction Site. I've actually had a few occasions of late when a copy stand would have been useful, so I'm curious as to what lens(es) one uses with this device.

I've got a screw-mount 50mm Summicron, 35mm Summaron, and 21 mm CV to play with and a IIIf BD body.

Thanks,

The Summicron 50 is surely OK: with the device itself (i.e., with no add-on accessory) you make repro 1:3 reduction - 72x108 mm area; extension tubes were provided to achieve up to 1:1 repro ratio, always with 50mm lenses: the item is of course more interesting if it includes a set of tubes.

Steve,

While specifically designed for the 50mm, most users overlook its potential. I have had great success with the 65 Elmar in its Universal focusing mount and either a Visoflex or Leica SLR so that I could see what I was doing. Add some more extension tubes and you're into some serious macro. I liked to copy my color negs onto Vericolor Slide Film to make my own cropped and color-corrected transparencies.
