Advertisement Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Hi petermcwerner, Take a look here M8 and the Avenon SuperWide-L f/2.8 21mm. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Leika38 Posted March 1, 2009 Share #22 Posted March 1, 2009 I've had my M-mount Avenon for years; shoots well and still in mint condition.
farnz Posted March 1, 2009 Share #23 Posted March 1, 2009 Peter, Your sample shot in post #21 puzzles me. The shot is clearly taken in full sunshine with most of the picture in shadow. It seems that you (or the M8 autoexposure) have metered for the shadows but the highlights in the white wall on the right haven't blown out. I would have thought that there is too much dynamic range in the scene for the M8 so did you actually meter for the highlights and pull up the shadows in post processing? Or is the Kobalux such a low-contrast lens that it can cope with this amount of dynamic range itself? (Also you state a shutter speed of 1/5800: is this correct because IIRC my M8 only gives 1/4000, 1/6000 or 1/8000?) Pete.
