Summicron 35mm with "false" infinity position

Quick beginners question: Yesterday a coded, new 35mm cron has arrived and after some test shots wondered why objects at infinity (more than 50 meters away) are in focus just before physical infinity position of the lenses.

I did test shots that prove that my viewfinder is actually correct. The object is not in focus at the physical infinity position but just before. Is that normal?

Of course I tested for back focus problem also but my viewfinder seems to be perfectly adjusted and luckily shows the truth at all distances. (Did all tests with aperture 2 so far.)

In the Leica world, infinty is at least five kilometers away. 50 meters certainly needs a tad of focussing. There may be a mountain standing in your way to make exact testing of infinity impossible:D
