FYI I think Leica change the service name, we can see a option of "Leica individualisation" on Leica website, includes renew the leather and engraving. MP not likes M-A bc, M10, M240, M9. The top plate already engrave a "Leica", so customer has to pay for "M Service M Camera analogue" fee and parts fee, such as a new top plate, and plus engraving fee. “Leica individualisation” compared to ALC, I think ALC don't need purchased camera first, just pay for the camera and wait Leica build a custom made camera for the customer. I had ask Leica about convert color, because I saw a reddit post, that user comverts his MP silver to BC. I got Leica‘s reply, they said if customer's MP is silver color, the top plate color only can converts to BC or keep sliver. If customer's MP is BP color, customer can choice BC/silver/BP. Now Leica M6 re produce, maybe customer can choice BP color and M6's top plate for the MP BP? But now the website showed this note: "Dear Leica Customer, Due to the increased interest in our engraving service, we cannot guarantee timely processing at the moment. Please contact our Customer Care in Wetzlar or outside Germany your local Customer Care team to submit your engraving request and your contact details. We will contact you with an appointment (free collection included) as soon as the lead times have returned to normal."
