audidudi Posted October 2, 2007 Share #2 Posted October 2, 2007 Here you go: Fotomozaic.ro - despre si pentru fotografie Actually, I seem to recall finding a machined aluminum adapter from some company in China a while back ... never bought one (around $45 plus shipping) but it looked useful. I'll see if I can find a link for it and post back later...
sevendhappy Posted October 2, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted October 2, 2007 Yeah, I found that link on google not too long ago. Kind of cool. Just wondering if anyone has tried using a filter adapter with their D-Lux 3 (not just holding a filter in front of the barrel with their hand) and how their experience was with it. sevendhappy Posted October 3, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted October 3, 2007 Final bump. Anyone else tried using filters with a D-Lux 3 and can share your experience?
Guest malland Posted October 4, 2007 Share #6 Posted October 4, 2007 Max is right: this is "Quatsch": you don't need filters for a digital camera. For B&W, for example, you can simulate the efect of filters in setting the conversion from the color file. BTW, "Quatsch" means "utter nonsense". —Mitch/Bangkok

I'm really interested in using polarizing lenses and neutral density lenses. Just wondering if anyone has any results they could share if they've used said lenses on a D-Lux 3. borchert Posted November 27, 2007 Share #8 Posted November 27, 2007 Dear sevendhappy, I understand you perfectly. I was also looking for a solution to attach Filters on my D-Lux 3. A friend of mine - who is a photographer - told me that there was some way of modifying the chip for infrared photography, which the reason I was looking for a solution to attach Filters. I found this link some days ago, but it is for the LUMIX, so I don't know whether it wil work for the Leica too. Welcome to HKDCPlus.com In any event I will contact you if I find out more!!! Cheers!!!
VictorvS Posted June 13, 2008 Share #9 Posted June 13, 2008 A very informative review of HKDCPLUS LX2 adapter can be found here: Panasonic LX2 Filter & converter adapter LX2,taking it a day at a time.. and there one of the comments says: I also received the LX2 adaptor, which of course fits perfectly well on my Dlux3. The article and comments also have some other links on where to buy.

Virgil Posted July 9, 2008 Share #11 Posted July 9, 2008 The Leica discussion forum over on dpreview.com has some links to filter adapters and some sample shots on their use.
pierovitch Posted July 10, 2008 Share #12 Posted July 10, 2008 I have the unit and tried it on a Fuji f700 P&S. I found the reflections off the back of the filter, unless it was in contact with the front of the lens, caused problems. Putting the filter in contact with the lens also upset the zoom and focus. Give it a miss.
