I know the S006 had the problem with the sensor but did the S-E Have the same problem?   TY

Are there any advantages to buying the S-E ( originally was less than the S006)  Anything other than GPS missing in the S_E

I am looking to Buy one thats why I am asking.  TY

I believe so.

Before you make your purchase e-mail: customer.care@leica-camera.com quoting the serial number and they can tell you whether it's had a new sensor fitted. They usually reply within 2-3 days. You can ask in English and they reply in English.

The S-E is the same camera as the S-006, except for the colour of the top plate. Neither camera is missing GPS.

The functional differences between the two cameras were the original warranty, and included accessories. The 006 came with a long USB cable for tethering.

None of this matters now, unless you need the USB cable. Make sure you get a camera with a replaced sensor, or a generous discount.

Thank you for assisting me with this.   My thoughts are to get the S007 and feel comfortable and not worry about the Sensor problem.  TY

Agreed.

You could buy my spare "Good" condition 007 that I'm currently selling on ebay.co.uk eBay item number:285030211376 🙂

The only difference between S006 and S-E 006 is what comes in the box and the colour. There is no difference technically. Both have GPS. Since I saw you state differently, that is not true.

I have S-E006 and S006 Both can have a corroding sensor.

You need to ask Leica if the sensor is replaced or not.

The S-E comes without a tethering cable. That's all.

It happens so that I wrote an article about what to look out for when buying S2/S006/S-E006 in 2022:

Hi Sarnian, I am trying not to buy from UK and or Europe due to Vat fees plus other expenses. I am better off buying in the USA. Less expensive. Thank you

Hi Jip, I did read your article and VERY helpful. What I have to do before buying one ( S006 ) Is get the Ser # from the seller and contact leica to see if the sensor was changed and if it was done after 2017. If before that year it would have been replaced with the Old sensor.   I will keep looking. My first choice is the S006 or S-E as I like the CCD sensor

You should not have to pay VAT for export to the US. For the moment the dollar is pretty strong and works to your advantage. I saw a nice, new SE ar red Dot Camera's British site.
