I just purchased the SpyderPrint, and printed the 729 EZ Colors Plus Gray patch on 9 pages (the largest one). Spent hours printing them correctly on my EPSON P900 on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Baryta and scaning patch by patch with SpyderPrint. Everything seemed good until I saved and tried to safeproof something with that profile.

Every photo has a magenta cast, and looks awful. Then I decided do to it all over again, this time in almost completely dark room, so no ambient light can affect it. I didn't use the plastic strip, but I scanned manually patch by patch (seems more reliable). Magenta cast was barely noticeable reduced, but definitely still there, comparing to the non-proof image, or with the original profile provided by Hahnemuhle, which I found very good btw, so why I'm doing all this calibration... I don't know. I guess, I want to see if it can be any better. I printed over 300 prints with the profile provided by the paper manufacturer, and they look amazing.

When I print with the profile I created, there is no magenta cast, but the photo doesn't look great, and totally different than what's on the screen. Unlike with any other profile provided by Hahnemuhle, where print pretty much matches what's on the screen (which is calibrated by the way).

I don't think this is good and something must be wrong, with either my workflow, or my device, although the workflow is pretty simple and straightforward. I already spent like 5-6 hours on this, and it's pretty tedious and nerve wracking because it's repetitive. So, I'm giving up for now, until I hear or read someone's advice what else should I try.

I softproof in LrC and Ps, and looks the same in Perceptual and RC intents. Only looks good in Ps with Absolute Colorimetric, which I never used before, but with this profile, that's the only one that doesn't have magenta cast.
