Krycek Posted November 6, 2022 Share #1 Posted November 6, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, I would like to know if, compared to the Leica SL (601), the sensor of the Leica SL2-S has been optimized for use with R lenses? It is clear that the stabilization of the SL2-S brings a clear advantage. Does the sensor of the SL2-S bring an advantage over the SL (601) in combination with R lenses? Thank you! Thank you! dunno if its "optimized" but IBIS and newer sensor technology are a Plus on the SL2S over the old SL601 you can see many SL + R Lens and SL2S + R lens pics here >
jaapv Posted November 6, 2022 Share #3 Posted November 6, 2022 Due to the long register distance of R lenses there is no need to “optimize” any sensor for them. The difference will only be the increaesed DR of the S2s and the slight improvements of the newer generation.
