wparsonsgisnet Posted October 17, 2007 Share #42 Posted October 17, 2007 There are notable omissions from the Birthday thread. If I'm to have a picture in a book, I'd like it to share space with these monsters.......

terrycioni Posted October 18, 2007 Share #44 Posted October 18, 2007 My first M8 was bought on November 6th and the second was like December 15th. Have to check the second one. Bumpy first 6 months but things are way better but i'm not celabrating yet , sorry. I want to see my firmware changes first. My first M8 was a very wet cold day - November 9th. The second came in December, not sure exactly what day but around Christmas. I haven't looked back with any regret what so ever. Leica has impressed me with their commitment to M8 owners and have certainly showed they are determined to excel at customer support (mileage may very) but I can say this has been my experience. I started off being very hard on them when it came to the hardware recall in the end they stepped up and took care of me - as no other OEM would do in this day and age. The M8 is worth every penny spent in my very humble opinion. Best To All. Terry.
waterlenz Posted October 18, 2007 Share #45 Posted October 18, 2007 Happy Birthday indeed! New camera - new plane. Here is a new Boeing 737-400 Combi which I boarded a few hours ago. Am now in Anchorage. The highlight streak is still there but not too easy to see in this IR shot done with my new lens, WATE at 16mm and Rollei 'Infrarot' filter, ISO 1250. It was straight into the sun, flare (not the streak) is due to filter. Cheers! Welcome, dear visitor! etrigan63 Posted October 21, 2007 Share #48 Posted October 21, 2007 Are we going forward with this? I am still keenly interested in participating. Both threads (this one and the photo one) have died down. Who is the point person for this project? I would like to assist but I have never done anything like this. There are several online services that publish coffee table photo books. Which one are we using? Should we upload fullsize images to a gallery somewhere? Which gallery and what account? I want this to really happen!
peterv Posted October 21, 2007 Share #49 Posted October 21, 2007 Hello everyone, I've been away for sometime. Happy to be able to keep up with the Forum again. It seems not much has changed lately. I've posted a few pics in the photo-thread. Whether this becomes a book project or not, it's really very nice to see the pictures that members consider their best photo's. Kind Regards, Peter
