Hi,

Was hoping someone might have had some experience with a particular type of software.

I am working on a calendar for a childrens health care facility and need some software help for the cover.

We have taken portraits of several of the kids at the facility and want to reduce the portraits in size so that they can work as pixels to make up the larger image.

Anyone have any experience with this? Curious about what software has worked well for people in this situation.

Thanks for all your help!

I remember that, 2 or 3 years ago (before my switch to digital) I bought an HP Scanner and inside the Software package provided there was an HP branded Software to produce calendars with digital images... I played a little with it... was very simple to use and rich in functions... sorry, I do not know if it still provided, but was so fine that I wouldn't be surprised if it's still in someway avilable through HP.

You don't mention which platform (Mac or PC) you're on, but try typing "photo mosaics" into Google and having a look around at what comes up. Eg, there's some freeware at

You could add "Mac" or "PC" to your search. Can't vouch for any of it, but to be honest, this kind of software is probably all much of a muchness, and if it's a one-off calendar cover, freeware or shareware could make life a good deal cheaper! Good luck – maybe let us see what you come up with?
