Guest chriisi Posted August 16, 2006 Share #3 Posted August 16, 2006 Thank you.. I appreciate your work of ballsaal very much, but I don't know why you sometime think that your print isn't that good.. I'm always very impressed..
albertwang Posted August 16, 2006 Share #4 Posted August 16, 2006 Very lovely picture. I like the split halves between the architectural structure and your gal's arms. Very angular. Good metaphor for man versus their environment. Good job!
Guest evita Posted August 16, 2006 Share #5 Posted August 16, 2006 dance floor, Chris thanks, but I know that often there could be improvement in both, the shots and the prints, and since i'm demanding regarding other's photographs i'm even more with my own stuff
Guest chriisi Posted August 16, 2006 Share #6 Posted August 16, 2006 Yeah, sorry excuse me.. I think you got such high expertations, because the level of dance-floor/ball-saal is very high.. I'm always impressed, because i have many problems printing the negative..
cboudier Posted August 16, 2006 Share #7 Posted August 16, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Very nice photo, could even be better for me without the top part (shut off the lights in the background, they are distracting from the subject)
Guest evita Posted August 16, 2006 Share #8 Posted August 16, 2006 burning the lights, yes, cropping them NO! please Chris, you might be right about the high level over there, to me it's the only way to learn, open and direct critics... IF one wants to improve that is
Guest chriisi Posted August 16, 2006 Share #9 Posted August 16, 2006 Hmm.. i don't know.. you are probably right, but for me it would too much manipulation.. I don't know, it is disturbing, but for me part of the picture...
Guest chriisi Posted August 16, 2006 Share #10 Posted August 16, 2006 hmm, i dont know.. @evita: that's true.. you learn best from your faults..
fotografr Posted August 16, 2006 Share #11 Posted August 16, 2006 In my opinion, the bottom photo is much better. There's nothing at all wrong with manipulating a print to get rid of distractions. After all, the photograph is manipulated from the moment you point your camera at the subject. All the time your mind is deciding what to leave in the frame and what to exclude. Guest chriisi Posted August 16, 2006 Share #12 Posted August 16, 2006 That's sounds logical to me No, it's true, the second one is better..
robert_parker Posted August 16, 2006 Share #13 Posted August 16, 2006 Christopher The big thing for me is the relaxed pose and the facial expression, which make the photograph for me.
