gylee Posted September 23, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted September 23, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) We have just returned from two weeks in Berlin. I took my MP with a 50 'cron and a Zeiss Biogon 28mm and my CM. The MP was used predominantly with Koday BW 400CN and the CM was fed a diet of Fuji 160S (and a single roll of 800Z). Â The 28mm proved to be a great focal length and saw the bulk of use on the MP. I ended up shooting about 12 rolls of the 400CN, about 8 of the 160S, plus a bit of Delta 100. I found the whole experience very satisfying and much more friendly than lugging around the 5D and three zooms. Â I also took a full size tripod and a Manfrotto table top tripod, which proved extremely useful. Â I will post some over the next little while, but continuing the Russian tube theme, here are some taken on the Berlin tube which we made very extensive use of. biglouis Posted September 23, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted September 23, 2007 I commented on the Reichstag photos first but these are equally good and a reminder to new M film users like me of what can be achieved with care and attention. I'm in awe at shot #2 which must have been a grab shot but works brilliantly. #4 is the best, the composition, choice of speed and aperture work together so well. gylee Posted September 23, 2007 Author Share #3 Â Posted September 23, 2007 Louis - thank you. That is very kind. I am a reasonably new M film user myself. The MP was purchased in February, the CM about a year before. Taking an M on holiday was a revelation. Â G.

I was in Calumet yesterday buying some film and I paused to fondle a Canon 5D. I like the convenience of a rangefinder in terms of form factor and weight but I keep flirting with the idea of a 5D. Seeing shots like these, I think I'll perservere with my M6 and R-D1 for a little bit longer :-)  LouisB

gylee Posted September 24, 2007 Author Share #7 Â Posted September 24, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks Sam and Stauart. I thought about straightening number 2, but decided I liked it better as is. Â G.
